Messenger of Peace – Philippines, Paranaque City Eagle Scouts, Brighton Venturers 1012 and SANGALAB Circle 10 aspires to give hope by providing relief goods to residents of Sitio Ibayo, Dulong Bayan 1, San Mateo Rizal. Scouts organized the distribution of improvised solar lamps in partnership with Paranaque City Eagle Scouts . Many people and properties were seriously affected by Typhoon Ulysses last November 12, 2020.
Most that were adversely affected are those residing in low-lying areas of Marikina and Rizal. Even places in Cagayan was not spared from the aftermath of the typhoon. Acting in the spirit of humanity and helping one another, Paranaque City Eagle Scouts and SANGALAB Circle 10 thought of a way to be of assistance to the communities that needed support in these trying and difficult times. Even though reaching out to them was somehow difficult because of boat transportation, the treat of pandemic and many other challenges, the scouts carried out their desired goal and objectives as they witness the smile and renewed hope in the faces of their fellow Filipinos.
As Baden Powell stated, “The most worthwhile things is to try to put happiness into the lives of others.”
