EAGLE SCOUTS GROUP HOLDS RELIEF OPERATION IN MARIKINA CITY

A group of Eagle Scouts, belonging to the National Eagle Scouts Association of the Philippines (NESAPh)-Rajah Sulayman Chapter, conducted relief operation for Typhoon Ulysses (International name Vamco) victims in Marikina City on Nov. 20-21, 2020.  The group served hot meals and distributed relief goods to several victims in Nangka, Marikina.

In cooperation with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines-National Office and the BSP Metro Manila East Council, the Scouts served hot meals and distributed relief packs to at least 300 and 196 individuals respectively.

Program And Adult Resources Executive Yasser F. Sarona, representing the BSP-NO commended the initiative of the Eagle Scouts as he encouraged other Scouts to conduct similar activities, which are part of the on-going Scouts Humanitarian Disaster Response in the country. He said the BSP has ben conducting reach-out activities in some parts of Luzon devastated by the Typhoons Quinta, Rolly and Ulysses.
