SCOUTS JOIN THE MWSS IN TREE PLANTING AT INFANTA, QUEZON

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines joined the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) in a tree planting activity along the access road of the New Centennial Water Source-Kaliwa Dam Project in Infanta, Quezon on 13 October 2020.

The MWSS, headed by its Chairperson Reynaldo V. Velasco, along with representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Philippine National Police and Boy Scouts of the Philippines, headed by Sophia U. Castillo, National Coordinator of Scouts Go Green, with BSP Quezon Council Scout Executive Joel R. Avilledo, planted at least 8,000 Narra seedlings that will help boost re-greening of the area.

The BSP is forging partnership with the MWSS as part of the flagship project initiated by BSP National President Roberto M. Pagdanganan entitled “Scouts Plant and Nurture Trees.” Once finalized, the BSP will plant 1,000,000 trees for this partnership.
