Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Corporate Law preferred
  • With experience in handling cases and matters pertaining to gov’t agencies and GOCCs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Description:

  • Report directly and responsible to the Secretary General;
  • Prepare/draft and review any and all contracts and/or legal documents that may be initiated and entered into by the BSP or any of its offices and subsidiaries;
  • Participate in, and provide advice on, contract preparation and negotiations;
  • Review project proposals and undertake legal analysis of project or program-related issues or proposals that may be initiated and entered into by the BSP or any of its offices and subsidiaries;
  • Provide legal assistance to management on matters pertaining to taxation, policy formulation and corporate affairs;
  • Coordinate with external counsel  or  with the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel for the initiation of any and all legal action against any entity or instrumentality;
  • Provide legal support to the Human Resource Office  re compliance with government laws and regulations, compensation and benefits, employee discipline;
  • Formulate or propose policies that would support the aims and objectives of the BSP as a GOCC;
  • Act as liaison to the different government agencies on legal matters; and
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned to and directed by the Secretary General.

  • At least 2 years experience in legal research and preparation of legal documents/ opinion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Description:

  • Report directly and responsible to the Secretary General;
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, contracts, lease and other related documents that may be initiated and entered into by the BSP or any of its offices and subsidiaries;
  • Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, memorandum circulars, executive orders and other legal documents for the guidance and reference of the employees and officials of the BSP;
  • Keep, monitor and maintain organized files of legal documents and ensure that the file is up to date;
  • Investigate/research on the facts of cases, negotiations and matters pertaining to legal, policy and corporate affairs;
  • Assist the Legal Officer in coordinating with external counsel  or  with the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel for the initiation of any and all legal action against any entity or instrumentality; and
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned and directed by the Secretary General.
