Arnould Jann Bernada from Capiz Council has been elected as this year’s Regional Scout Representative for Visayas in the 2017 National Scout Youth Forum from April 9 to 12 at Manocmanoc Elementary School, Boracay Island.
Securing the top spot with 11 votes, Bernada is the second scout from Capiz Council to become the Regional Scout Representative for Visayas, following Richard D. Olano, Jr. who will cap his term on May 2017. Bernada is from Capiz National High School while Olano is from Filmer Christian College.

Short with 1 and 6 votes, Ray Gabriel Chiu of Negros Oriental Council and Vance Raphael Anthony Prairie of Iloilo (Confesor) Council respectively, were the other nominees for the Regional Scout Representative for Visayas.
“It’s the best thing that happened to me right now and as the same time I feel honoured and challenged to represent the region,” Bernada said.
Eunice Fay Manares of Aklan Council and Vance Raphael Anthony Prairie of Iloilo (Confesor) Council were also elected as Regional Scout Representatives for Western Visayas.
Meanwhile, Ray Gabriel Chiu of Negros Oriental Council and Miguel Enrico Tequillo of Cebu Council topped as Regional Scout Representatives for Eastern Visayas.

Richard Olano Jr., outgoing Regional Scout Representative for Visayas advised the next Regional Scout Representative to represent the region well in the National Executive Board.
