The new partnership agreement will allow the OSP to develop instructional materials that will orient the Scouts on the Operation Smile advocacy, teach them how to identify clefts and record cleft cases, and will support programming to match BSP’s Advancement Scheme and Merit Badge System, with the goal of either establishing an Operation Smile Merit Badge or integrate Operation Smile advocacies in service projects or voluntary services as part of the advancement requirements.
